Kitchen equipment

If you want to cook rice easily with minimal water consumption, all you need is a sieve and a bowl. The sieve should be fine-meshed so that the grains don't fall through, and about the size used for Italian pasta. Enough space in the sieve will make washing the rice way easier. The bowl should be the same size as the strainer so that you can easily place it inside, and its sides should reach at least halfway up the strainer.

Other than that, all you need are classic kitchen utensils such as a knife, frying pan, or saucepan. Surprisingly versatile kitchen tools are classic chopsticks, which you can use to stir, whisk, and manipulate ingredients. Another great and often overlooked item is a pastry scraper. I definitely recommend buying resealable bags, preferably ziplock type.
